Connect your Viral Loops campaign to a GoHighLevel sub-account to keep participants and contacts in sync.
With this integration, you can:
Add new campaign participants to GoHighLevel as contacts
Tag those contacts so you can filter and automate in GoHighLevel
Send referral details and custom form fields to GoHighLevel
Add new GoHighLevel contacts to your campaign automatically
Import existing GoHighLevel contacts into the campaign
Count a Won opportunity in GoHighLevel as a conversion in Viral Loops (on campaigns that track conversions)
Before you start
You need a GoHighLevel account and access to the sub-account (Location) you want to connect.
Open the campaign you want to connect, then go to the Integrations step in the campaign wizard.
We recommend connecting one campaign per GoHighLevel sub-account. If two campaigns share the same sub-account, new contacts and Won opportunities from that sub-account may be added to both.
Connect Viral Loops to GoHighLevel
In your campaign wizard, go to Integrations.
Find GoHighLevel and click it.
Click Connect to GoHighLevel. You will be sent to GoHighLevel to approve access to your sub-account.
Sign in and allow the connection. You will be redirected back to Viral Loops.
Back in Viral Loops, choose a tag. Every contact we create in GoHighLevel gets this tag.
Pick an existing tag, or type a name and click Create tag.
Click Connect.
Click Next, then Finish to save the campaign.
When the status says Connected, new people who join this campaign are created as contacts in that GoHighLevel sub-account, with the tag you chose.
Send a test contact
On the connected GoHighLevel screen, click Add a test contact. Then search GoHighLevel for the email shown on the screen. That is the fastest way to confirm the tag and custom fields look right before you go live.
Add GoHighLevel contacts to your campaign
The connection also works the other way.
Automatically add new contacts
Open GoHighLevel in Integrations (the campaign must already be connected).
Turn on Add new contacts to Viral Loops.
Save the campaign (Next / Finish).
When a contact is created in that GoHighLevel sub-account, we add them to the campaign with the name and email already in GoHighLevel. You do not need to import them by hand.
This only applies to contacts created after you turn the setting on. It does not pull in your existing GoHighLevel list.
Import contacts who are already in GoHighLevel
In the GoHighLevel settings, open the Import tab.
Click Import contacts. This opens the campaign dashboard import screen.
Choose GoHighLevel as the source and run the import.
Track conversions from Won opportunities
If your campaign counts conversions (for example, a milestone campaign that rewards sales), you can turn on Track Opportunities (conversions).
When you mark an opportunity as Won in GoHighLevel:
If that contact is already a participant (matched by email), we record a conversion in Viral Loops.
We use the opportunity’s amount as the conversion value.
This option appears only on campaigns that track conversions. The person must already be in the campaign — a Won deal for someone who never joined will not add them.
One sub-account, one campaign
We recommend connecting only one Viral Loops campaign to each GoHighLevel sub-account.
If another campaign is already connected to the same sub-account, you will see a Sub-account conflict message. New contacts and Won opportunities from that sub-account may be added to both campaigns.
You can click Disconnect other campaigns to keep this campaign connected and disconnect the others for that sub-account.
Disconnect
On the connected GoHighLevel screen, click Disconnect. Syncing stops for this campaign. If this was the last Viral Loops campaign using that sub-account, the Viral Loops app is also removed from that location in GoHighLevel.
Remember to Finish the wizard so the change is saved.
FAQ
Will people who joined before I connected be sent to GoHighLevel?
No. Only new participants after you connect are synced automatically. You will need to import them into the campaign for them to be synced.
What if the email already exists in GoHighLevel?
We update that contact. We do not create a second contact with the same email.
Do custom form fields sync?
Yes. GoHighLevel creates them using the field label from your campaign form.
Can I use GoHighLevel to send campaign emails?
The integration keeps contacts and (optionally) conversions in sync. You can still send email from GoHighLevel using the custom fields (referral code, sharing URL, and so on). If you do that, turn off Viral Loops campaign emails in the campaign editor so people are not emailed twice.
Why don’t I see Track Opportunities?
That setting only shows on campaigns that track conversions. You can change this in the Goals step in your campaign.
Auto-add is on, but old GoHighLevel contacts are not in the campaign.
Auto-add only runs for contacts created after you enable it. Use Import for people who are already in GoHighLevel.
