You can learn how to edit your Social Media settings, images, titles, descriptions, Opengraph, etc., for your Viral Loops campaign.
There are 3 places from where you can edit those settings:
From within the Campaign's Widget
In Viral Loops pages editor (in case you are using it)
Open Graph Settings (if you are using your website)
If you are using your own website to host the campaign ( ex, the widgets), then the social media settings are entirely edited through your website's Open Graph settings. You can ignore the social media settings inside Viral Loops.
Differences between those 3 places
Before continuing, let's check the differences between those 3 options.
First, you'll need to check if you will use a Viral Loops page; otherwise, you don't have to set any social media settings in the Campaign Wizard from within Viral Loops.
The main difference for the Viral Loops page is that the social media settings are about how the URL to the page will look when you share it on social media.
While for the Widget, it has to do with the referral link exclusively. If the referral link goes to a Viral Loops page, you have to set the images, the titles and the descriptions there.
But if the referral link goes to your landing page, you don't have to do anything there; everything is done through the Open Graph settings.
1. From within the Widget
If you edit your campaign and go to the Widget section, you will see a TAB "SHARING" on the left side.
From there, you can enable or disable the social media you want, add your subjects and texts and choose if you want to show the full URL on the mobile or not.
Another TAB, "SOCIAL MEDIA SETTINGS", is also on the left side.
You can add the image for Facebook and X (Twitter) and the titles and descriptions to be automatically populated if someone shares his/her referral link.
2. In Viral Loops pages
If you are using Viral Loops pages instead of your website, then if you edit that page, you will also find a TAB "SHARING" on the left side in which you can edit or add the suggested texts, the available social media icons, etc.
3. Open Graph Settings
If you are using your own domain/website instead of Viral Loops and want to change the image and the text on your Social Media sharing options, you must change the Opengraph on Facebook/Whatsapp and Cards on Twitter on your page.
